Oahu Botanical & Beach Couple Shoot

I’m trying to find the words to describe this shoot, but I think I’ll have to go with... AMAZING! Hana, Sylas, and I stuck to the windward side of the island. There we found a nice beach with such wonderful sunshine! Let me tell you, dipping your toes in Hawaii’s water is VERY different from Oregon’s coastal water; the difference being a relaxing bath to taking an ice bath.

For our other location, we headed to the botanical gardens. Hana has a passion for plants, so it was only fitting to make the gardens their backdrop. The bouquet Hana is holding, she made herself from the trimmings of her garden at home! She proposed the idea days before, and I thought “HECK yes! That’ll be gorgeous!” And it was! 

Like I said, this was an amazing shoot not only for the beautiful nature we were surrounded by, but Hana and Sylas were hoots to photograph! So much laughter was shared. My favorite photographs might just be the series where Hana lifts Sylas. I bent over laughing so hard!
